2023 SUPERCROSS POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 5 OF 17)

Houston Supercross is wrapped and with it came intense battles in both classes. The 450 was exciting as ever and with the introduction of the 250 East Coast class, we were definitely excited to witness the fresh roster of 250 athletes both young and old. As the championship stood before Houston, Eli Tomac remained on to the red plate despite a scary get-off at Anaheim 2. However, that crash didn’t come without consequences as the gap for the lead shrunk helping both Chase Sexton and Cooper Webb. 450 CLASS POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 5 OF 17)

The 450 Main started off intense but a red flag would restart the battle.

As the race commenced, the battle for first was extremely exciting with Tomac leading the field and Aaron Plessinger hanging in second. That would all change when Dylan Ferrandis would have a huge crash at the end of the whoops, running into the rear end of Ken Roczen and hitting his head on the ground. Dylan Would leave with a neck brace but was fortunately able to stand and walk to the medic mule.

The race commenced once again with Eli in the lead and it would stay that way for the remainder of the night. Chase Sexton was the only one capable of keeping up but the sand would hold him back.

Eli would go on to win another Main Event and extend the championship lead even further.

Chase’s Achilles’ heel was the sand section, where Eli thrived.

We’re hoping Dylan Ferrandis is alright.

250 EAST CLASS POINT STANDINGS (AFTER ROUND 1 OF 10)

Hunter Lawrence would go on to win the first Main Event of the East Coast championship after freight training through a handful of tuff blocks. After that event, it didn’t take long for him to make his way to first. As uninteresting as Hunter’s race became, that certainly was not the same with the entire 250 field behind him.

Crashes left and right would result with Max Anstie finishing in second and Jordon Smith redeeming an impressive third place after playing in the sand. And did we forget to mention who finished in fourth? Oh yeah that would be Haiden Deegan, who just a week ago was racing in the futures class.

In fact, the rookies who did race this weekend rode incredibly impressive with Chance Hymas finishing in eigth, Talon Hawkins in eleventh, and Tom Vialle nearly running away with a podium had it not been for a mistake, landing him in seventh.
