BREAKING NEWS! HAIDEN DEEGAN TO RACE 2023 HOUSTON SUPERCROSS
Coming into last weekend’s Anaheim 2 Supercross Futures race, many expected Haiden Deegan to take the win and then officially go Pro with Star Racing Yamaha full-time starting this weekend at the Houston Supercross. However, after a bad start, Haiden was in sixth place early in the race while Rockstar Husqvarna riders, Talon Hawkins and Casey Cochran were out front. Then, Haiden fell and dropped back to seventh. By the end of the short six-lap race, he caught up to fifth place.
After a tough night for Haiden at Anaheim 2, and after hearing from a Star Racing Yamaha employee after the race, we didn’t expect to see him line up in the 250 East division this weekend. However, the call has been made and Haiden will officially make his Supercross debut and he will join the Pro ranks full-time starting this weekend.
Haiden will lineup with Star Racing Yamaha’s Jordon Smith and Nate Thrasher this weekend. Nick Romano recently got back on the bike after injury and Yamaha says “Nick Romano is back on the bike training and will look to join the boys soon”

The Star Racing Yamaha team has two rigs, one for the 450 riders and one for the 250 riders. The 250 rig had Levi Kitchen, Stilez Robertson and Haiden Deegan under it last weekend at Anaheim 2. Now, Haiden will be lined up with 250SX East riders, Jordon Smith and Nate Thrasher.
Haiden Deegan crashed in the Supercross Futures Main Event last weekend, but he still showed a lot of speed and tenacity.
